Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090

Mr. President:

I move to amend Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090 by decreasing Water and Sewer Funds: 67311 - Water and Sewer Revenue Fund and 67331 - Water and Sewer Operating in the amount of $6,280,000 to offset the effect of Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. BL2006-1095.

Mr. President:

I move to amend Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090 as follows:

1. By decreasing the appropriation for Department No. 41, Arts Commission, in the amount of $258,400.

2. By increasing the appropriation for Department No. 30, Sheriff's Office, in the amount of $258,400.

Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090

Mr. President:

I move to amend Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090 by amending Article 1 by adding the following language at the end of page 3:

"No funds from the General Fund of the General Services District shall be used to pay for expenses associated with Celebrate Nashville, provided that this prohibition shall not apply to services provided by Mayor's Office personnel or for expenses associated with fireworks displays."

Mr. President:

I move to amend Substitute Ordinance No. BL2006-1090 by amending Article 1 by adding the following language at the end of page 3:

"Any surplus revenues from the Nashville Gas franchise fee in excess of the budgeted projections shall be used for a low-income heating assistance program. The director of finance is authorized, subject to approval of the Council by resolution, to transfer any surplus franchise fee funds as necessary to implement such program."
