An ordinance declaring surplus and authorizing the disposition of a certain parcel of property by the Director of the Public Property Administration (Proposal No. 2006M-026U-08).

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government owns a certain parcel of property described below and shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government has determined that this parcel of property is no longer needed for governmental purposes; and

Whereas, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell said property subject to the approval of the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares the following parcel of property, described below and shown in attached Exhibit "A", owned in fee simple by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Section 2. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to sell said property listed above in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus real property.

Section 3. The proceeds from the sale of said parcel of property shall be deposited in the general fund of the district from whose operating budget the last department, commission, board or agency using the real property is financed.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
