ORDINANCE NO. BL2005-840
An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to enter into a lease agreement with Greensboro I, a Tennessee Limited Partnership, for certain real property located at 804 Second Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee (Proposal No. 2005M-181U-09).
Whereas, Greensboro
I, a Tennessee Limited Partnership owns certain real property (the "Property")
located at 804 Second Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee, further described
as the Downtown Business Center; and
Whereas, The Metropolitan Government desires to lease a portion of the Property
comprising approximately 7,200 square feet of office space for the Domestic
Violence Division of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for administrative
uses and counseling services; and
Whereas, the parties propose to memorialize the lease with an agreement in substantially the form of the document attached as Exhibit A and incorporated into this ordinance by reference.
Now, therefore be it enacted by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government is authorized to lease the Property from Greensboro I, a Tennessee Limited Partnership pursuant to an agreement in substantially the form of Exhibit A to this ordinance.
Section 2. Any amendments to the lease shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
