An ordinance authorizing the Director of the Division of Public Property Administration and the Director of Parks and Recreation to accept, execute and record an agreement for grant of easements in favor of the Metropolitan Government for use in connection with development of the Harpeth River greenway (Proposal No. 2005M-127G-06).

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A to this ordinance, the owners of the parcels of property identified in the agreement have agreed to donate easements to the Metropolitan Government for use in connection with development of the Harpeth River greenway; and

Whereas, the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County will benefit by accepting the donated easements.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Director of the Division of Public Property Administration and the Director of Parks and Recreation are authorized to accept, execute and record the easements from the owners of the parcels of property pursuant to the terms of the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
