An ordinance accepting a donation of a horse by the name of Sunfire's Storm Chaser from Mr. Ben Downing for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Police Department.

WHEREAS, Mr. Ben Downing wishes to donate a Tennessee Walking Horse by the name of Sunfire's Storm Chaser to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Police Department; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the agreement with Mr. Ben Downing regarding the donation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the donation of a horse by the name of Sunfire's Storm Chaser by Mr. Ben Downing to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same, and the Metropolitan Police Department is authorized to accept the horse for its use and benefit.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
