ORDINANCE NO. BL2005-630

An ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations, by amending Section 17.04.060 to define animal hospitals and allow animal hospitals in certain zoning districts (Proposal No. 2005Z-051T).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the codification of Title 17 of the Code of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Zoning Regulations, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 17.04.060 by adding the definition of "Animal Hospital" as follows:

"Animal Hospital' means an enterprise for the care and treatment of the diseases and injuries of animals, and where animals may be boarded during their treatment and convalescence."

Section 2. By amending Section 17.08.030 "Zoning District Land Use Table: Medical Uses" by inserting a new use "Animal Hospital" as "P" (permitted) in the IWD and IR zoning districts.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and after its passage and such change be published in a newspaper of general circulation, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
