An Ordinance amending Section 10.20.300 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws regarding the hours of collection of garbage and dumpster requirements, more specifically described herein

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 10.20.300 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws be and the same is hereby amended by amending subsection E., Hours of Collection and Dumpster Requirements, as follows:

1. By deleting the phrase "three hundred feet" and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase "six hundred feet".

2. By deleting the phrase "Non-metal lids" and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase "Lids constructed of plastic or a rubberized material".

3. By adding the following new subsection E.3.:

"3. The metropolitan police department is expressly authorized to enforce the foregoing provisions of this subsection in accordance with section 2.44.020 of the metropolitan code of laws."

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
