ORDINANCE NO. BL2005-568

An ordinance approving two agreements with Vanderbilt University for the participation and clinical training of medical students and residents in the Metropolitan Fire Department's first responder and ambulance and rescue programs.

Whereas, the two agreements between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Vanderbilt University, attached hereto, specify the parties' benefits and obligations regarding the participation and clinical training of medical students and residents, respectively, in the Fire Department's first responder and ambulance and rescue programs; and

Whereas, approval of the Agreements will benefit the citizens of Davidson County.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Agreements between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Vanderbilt University, attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That any amendments to the terms of either of the Agreements must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
