ORDINANCE NO. BL2005-509
An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to enter into a Lease Agreement with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. (Proposal No. 2004M-105U-13).
Whereas, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority owns certain real property (the “Property”) located at 1415 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, Tennessee, shown on Exhibit A hereto; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Government desires to enter into an agreement to lease a portion of the Property comprising office/warehouse space, situated on approximately 38.60 acres of land; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority is willing to lease the Property to the Metropolitan Government for fair market value; and
Whereas, the parties propose to memorialize the agreement with a lease in substantially the form of the document attached as Exhibit B and incorporated herein by reference.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government is authorized to lease the Property, shown on Exhibit A, from the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority pursuant to an agreement in substantially the form of Exhibit B, and the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. Any amendments to the lease shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
