ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-501

An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Property, or his designee, to accept, execute and record a quitclaim deed from The Harpeth Youth Soccer Association to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for a certain parcel of property (Proposal No. 2004M-009G-06).

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the quitclaim deed attached as Exhibit A to this ordinance, the Harpeth Youth Soccer Association (“HYSA”) has agreed to donate to the Metropolitan Government all the interest it may possess in the parcel of property (the “Property”) therein described; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government intends to lease the Property to HYSA for use in connection with recreational and youth soccer activities; and

Whereas, the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County will benefit by accepting the Property.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Director of Public Property, or his designee, is authorized to accept, execute and record a quitclaim deed from the Harpeth Youth Soccer Association substantially in the form of Exhibit A hereto.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
