ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-430
An ordinance approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for management, funding, and related matters for a signalization project at Dickerson Pike and Spring Street.
WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation (“TDOT”) desires to enter into a contract with the Metropolitan Government to provide for management, funding, and related matters for a signalization project at Dickerson Pike and Spring Street; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the contract (“Contract”) attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, provide that one hundred percent (100%) of the actual costs for the Contract’s project will be paid by the Metropolitan Government, which costs are estimated to be $50,000; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve the Contract with TDOT.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation concerning the signalization project at Dickerson Pike and Spring Street, which contract is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That any amendments, renewals, or extension of the terms of the Contract must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
