ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-426

An ordinance creating the positions of Emergency Telecommunications Officer 1, Emergency Telecommunications Officer 2, Emergency Telecommunications Officer 3, Emergency Telecommunications Officer 4, Emergency Telecommunications Trainer, Emergency Telecommunications Supervisor, Emergency Telecommunications Manager, and Emergency Telecommunications Assistant Director.

Whereas, Section 12.10 of the Metropolitan Charter provides that newly created positions within the Metropolitan Government shall be approved by ordinance; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan County Mayor, the Director of the Emergency Communications Center, the Acting Director of Human Resources, and the Metropolitan Civil Service Commission deem it necessary to create the positions of Emergency Telecommunications Officer 1, Emergency Telecommunications Officer 2, Emergency Telecommunications Officer 3, Emergency Telecommunications Officer 4, Emergency Telecommunications Trainer, Emergency Telecommunications Supervisor, Emergency Telecommunications Manager, and Emergency Telecommunications Assistant Director.

Now, therefore be it enacted by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby created the following positions:

The above positions will be in the classified service of the Metropolitan Government.

Section 2: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
