An Ordinance amending Section 3.24.010 of the Metropolitan Code by reducing to four years the required number of years of service for eligibility for elected officials to continue to participate in the health care plan after retirement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Section 3.24.010 of the Metropolitan Code shall be and the same is hereby amended by amending subsection B by deleting the phrase “eight years” wherein it appears and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “four years”.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
