An ordinance approving a donation of equipment from the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Police Department, to be used for law enforcement and investigation purposes.

WHEREAS, the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee wishes to donate equipment to be used for law enforcement and investigation purposes to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Police Department; and,

WHEREAS, the equipment to be donated is described on Exhibit 1 hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the equipment donated by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Police Department, described on Exhibit 1 hereto and to be used for law enforcement and investigation purposes, is hereby approved, and the Police Department is authorized to accept the same.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
