ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-297
An ordinance approving Amendment Two to the Memorandum of Agreement between
the Davidson County Community Service Agency and The Metropolitan Government
of Nashville and Davidson County for funding of the administration of the Caring
for Children's Program.
Whereas, the Davidson County Community Service Agency ("DCCSA")
is a public entity created and existing under authority of Title 37, Chapter
5, Part 3 of Tennessee Code Annotated, and has entered into a grant agreement
with the State of Tennessee, Department of Children's Services, for the funding
of the Caring for Children's Program; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Government entered into an agreement with DCCSA (the Agreement) for funding to administer the services of the Caring for Children's Program, including, but not limited to, case management, reunification, emergency residential and administrative services, which Agreement was approved by Ordinance No. 2004-181; and
Whereas, Amendment One to that Agreement was approved by Ordinance No. 2004-181; and
Whereas, the parties wish to again amend that agreement by Amendment Two, attached hereto, in order to increase the maximum funds provided by the DCCSA for Needs Assessment, and equally decrease the maximum funds provided by the DCCSA for Adoption Services; and
Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve Amendment Two to the Agreement between Metro and DCCSA, for funding to provide such services.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That Amendment Two to the Memorandum of Agreement between the DCCSA and the Metropolitan Government for funding of the administration of the Caring for Children's Program, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
