ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-258

An ordinance amending Chapter 10.60 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems, to reduce the number of false alarms granted per fiscal permit year and to increase the fine for noncompliance with the requirements of Chapter 10.60.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Chapter 10.60 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:

1. By amending Section 10.60.010 by amending the definition of “false alarm” by deleting the phrase “five false burglar alarms, three false robber/panic alarms and three false fire alarms” and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “three false burglar alarms, two false robber/panic alarms and two false fire alarms”.

2. By amending Section 10.60.100 by amending subsection G. by deleting the phrase “twenty-five dollars” and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “fifty dollars”.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
