ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-188
An ordinance naming the building on 3315 John Mallette Drive the “William F. Moynihan Center.”
Whereas, Mr. William F. Moynihan began his career with the Metropolitan Social Services Department in July of 1977 and served as Director for fourteen years; and
Whereas, in recognition of Mr. Moynihan’s leadership and outstanding public service this site shall be named in his honor; and
Whereas, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council honor Mr. Moynihan by naming the building located on 3315 John Mallette Drive the William F. Moynihan Center.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby names the building on 3315 John Mallette Drive the “William F. Moynihan Center.”
Section 2. The biographical information for William F. Moynihan is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference in accordance with Section 13.26.020 of the Metropolitan Code.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
