ORDINANCE NO. BL2004-120
An ordinance accepting $77,500.00 in cash donations and appropriating said
sponsorship money that has been received into the general fund and appropriating
an additional $20,000.00 in matching funds for the purpose of funding
Contract No. 15462.
WHEREAS, contract no. 15462 between the Metropolitan Government and Day Wilburn
Associates, Inc. in the amount of $97,500.00 was approved by the Metropolitan
Planning Commission on November 13, 2003; and
WHEREAS, said contract is for professional services for the transportation component of the Harding/White Bridge land use plan; and
WHEREAS, Tony Giarratana, H.G. Hill Realty, and St. Thomas Hospital are helping to underwrite the costs of said contract for professional services through cash donations totaling $77,500.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: That the Metropolitan Planning Department is authorized to accept cash donations to help underwrite the cost of contract no. 15462 for professional services. (A copy of that contract is attached hereto as Exhibit A.)
Section 2: That the following cash donations are hereby appropriated to the Planning Department to help cover expenses related to said contract:

Section 3: That the Metropolitan Planning Department is further authorized to receive public matching funds in the amount of $20,000.00 to help fund contract no. 15462.
Section 4: That the matching funds from the Metropolitan Government in the amount of $20,000.00 are hereby appropriated to the Planning Department for a combined total of private funds and public matching funds of $97,500.00, which is the total amount designated under contract no. 15462 between the Metropolitan Government and Day Wilburn Associates, Inc.
Section 5: That any amendments to the acceptance of donations, or to the appropriations and/or matching funds approved by this ordinance may be approved by resolution receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.
Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
