ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-5


An ordinance accepting donations to the Metropolitan Police Department Police Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit in the total amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) from the Target Department Stores and appropriating this amount to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Department of Police, for support of audio and video equipment for the Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit.


WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Police Department operates a Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Police Department wishes to accept a donation of received in an amount totaling one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) from the Target Department Stores to the Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit for support of audio and video equipment for the Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit; and,

WHEREAS, the Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit has the need for equipment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the donation in an amount totaling one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to the Metropolitan Government, Department of Police, Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit, is accepted.

SECTION 2 That the sum donated shall be deposited in Metropolitan Police Department account number 31740101.409300 Police Surveillance Unit for support of audio and video equipment for the Surveillance and Investigative Support Unit.

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
