ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-39
An Ordinance amending Section 2.20.040 of the Metropolitan Code by requiring
the Director of Codes Administration to make certain reports to Members
of Council on permits issued, inspections made and complaints acted upon
by the Department of Codes Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT
OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. Section 2.20.040 of the Metropolitan Code shall be and the same is hereby amended as follows.
A. By deleting paragraph 3 of subsection A in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new provisions:
“3. The number of permits issued under each code.
4. A tabulation of the number of inspections made and actions taken by the department by council districts; and
5. The number, by type, location, and date filed, of any and all complaints to the department by council districts.”
B. By adding the following new subsection B. and relettering the present subsections B, C and D accordingly:
“B. The department shall provide, on a monthly basis, the reports listed in Section A. 4. and 5., to the respective member of the Metropolitan Council and shall provide, on a monthly basis, a complete set of reports listed in Section A. 4. and 5. to each councilmember-at-large.”
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance shall not become effective until July 1, 2004.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
