ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-33
An ordinance amending Chapter 10.52 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to limit
the hours of operation for quarries and mines from nine o’clock (9:00)
a.m. to three o’clock (3:00) p.m. Monday through Friday.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND
DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Chapter 10.52 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws shall be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following new Section 10.52.060:
“10.52.060 Hours of operation.
It shall be unlawful for any mining, quarrying, or digging operations by means of which rock, gravel, clay or other commercial products of the ground are obtained therefrom to be conducted except between the hours of nine o’clock (9:00) a.m. and three o’clock (3:00) p.m. Monday through Friday.”
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its enactment,
the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County
requiring it.
