ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-113


An ordinance amending Section 7.16.030 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to allow liquor sales at retail locations on collector streets provided that the location is on a lot in the MUG zoning district.


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Code of Laws is and the same is hereby amended by deleting subsection A.2. in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new subsection A.2.

“The proposed location is on or has its principal access to:
an existing major street or road as shown on the major street plan as adopted by the metropolitan planning commission; or
an existing collector street designated as such on the adopted collector street plan or otherwise classified as such by the metropolitan traffic engineer based on traffic volumes, provided that the location is on a lot in the Mixed-Use General (MUG) district under the provisions of Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws.”

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
