ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-10


An ordinance amending the Metropolitan Code of Laws to require the display of certain information on commercial trucks used in the collection or transporting of used tires.


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Code of Laws is hereby amended by adding the following new Section 10.20.075:

“10.20.075 Information required on commercial trucks transporting used tires – Violation and penalty.

A. All commercial trucks used in the collection or transporting of used tires shall be required to have painted or affixed to the side or rear of the vehicle the name and telephone number of the owner of the vehicle. The requirement herein shall apply to those vehicles using the secondary road system (not the interstate road system).

B. Any driver found in violation of this section shall be fined an amount up to fifty dollars.”

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
