ORDINANCE NO. BL99-7

An ordinance approving a grant agreement by and between the State of Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Juvenile Court for the improvement of juvenile court services.

Whereas, State of Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth has awarded a grant for fiscal year 1999-2000 in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand dollars ($10,000.00) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Juvenile Court for the improvement of juvenile court services; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through Juvenile Court, in an amount not to exceed exceed Ten Thousand dollars ($10,000.00) for the improvement of juvenile court services, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That any amendments to this Grant shall be approved by resolution by twenty-one (21) affirmative votes of the Metropolitan Council.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
