ORDINANCE NO. BL99-6

An ordinance approving an affiliation agreement and its amendment between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Fire Department, Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Volunteer State Community College, permitting students from Volunteer State Community College to participate in a clinical experience with EMS, and its amendment which extends the affiliation agreement for an additional year.

Be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the affiliation agreement attached hereto and hereby incorporated, by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Fire Department, Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Volunteer State Community College, permitting students enrolled in the Allied Health Education Program an opportunity for a clinical experience with EMS be approved.

Section 2. That the affiliation agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Fire Department, Division of Emergency Medical Services, and Volunteer State Community College, is hereby approved and amended by extending the term of the agreement from May 25, 1995 through September 10, 2000.

Section 3. Any amendment to the affiliation agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least 21 affirmative votes.

Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
