ORDINANCE NO. BL99-5

An ordinance amending the contract by and between Vanderbilt University and the Metropolitan Government by and through its Department of Fire, Emergency Ambulance & Rescue Division for an Exposure Control Consultant that was approved by O95-16, by permitting yearly extension of the agreement.

Whereas, the Fire Department and Emergency Division has negotiated a contract with Vanderbilt University for an exposure control consultant which was approved by the Metropolitan Council through passage of ordinance No. O95-16; and,

Whereas, the term of the original term of the contract was for three years; and,

Whereas, the Department of Fire, Emergency Ambulance & Rescue Division wishes to be able to continually renew the contract on a yearly basis.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The contract with Vanderbilt University for an exposure control consultant is hereby amended by changing the term from three years to continuous renewal on a yearly basis. A copy of said amendment is attached hereto and is approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. Any amendments to this contract may be approved by a resolution of the Metropolitan Council which receives at least twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
