ORDINANCE NO. BL99-4

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept a donation in the amount of $30,000 from CNA Life.

Whereas, CNA Life desires to donate $30,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be applied to the cost of a traffic signal to be located at the intersection of Stewarts Ferry Pike and McCrory Creek Road; and

Whereas, the Traffic and Parking Commission approved acceptance of said amount and installation of the signal by the Metropolitan Government by motion in the meeting on July 12, 1999; and

Whereas it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to accept said donation.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government is authorized to accept a donation in the amount of $30,000.00 from CNA Life, which amount is to be applied in its entirety to the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Stewarts Ferry Pike and McCrory Creek Road, (CIB No. 88TP001B).

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

BILL NO. BL99-4

Mr. President:

I move to amend Bill No. BL99-4 by amending Section 1 thereof as follows:

Delete the reference to "CIB No. 88TP001B" and substitute in lieu thereof "CIB No. 92TP001".
