ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1531


An ordinance authorizing the installation within the public right of way of a certain sculpture and accepting the donation of that sculpture upon completion of the installation (Proposal No. 2003M-087U-10).


WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (“MDHA”) proposes permanently to install within a portion of the public right of way commonly known as the Music Row Roundabout (the “Roundabout”) a sculpture (the “Work”); and

WHEREAS, the design of the Work was previously approved by an ad hoc Art Design Review Committee and affirmed by the Metropolitan Arts Commission; and

WHEREAS, MDHA proposes to donate the Work to the Metropolitan Government upon its successful installation within the Roundabout.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The permanent installation of the Work in the Roundabout by MDHA is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. The proposed donation of the Work to the Metropolitan Government upon its successful installation in the Roundabout is hereby approved.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
