ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1528


An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government to participate with Copperstone Development to provide sewer services in Williamson County.


WHEREAS, Copperstone Development has expressed a desire to provide public sewer service in Williamson County, Tennessee, to a development known as Copperstone Subdivision, Phase 1; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Department of Water and Sewerage Services, has built the Owl Creek Trunk Sewer Project No. 97-SG-84 anticipating participation from developers; and

WHEREAS, this project is identified in Metro’s Capital Improvement Budget as CIB No. 96SG001; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed to benefit both parties and the general community, and Copperstone Development agrees to pay an amount not to exceed $84,000.00; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to execute a participation agreement, Exhibit 1, with Copperstone Development to provide public sewer services in Williamson County, Tennessee, known as Copperstone Subdivision, Phase 1, Project No. 03-SL-36.

SECTION 2. That Copperstone Development agrees to pay an amount not to exceed $84,000.00, for a total of 42 single-family home connections and the funds will be deposited as a contribution-in-aid of construction in Water and Sewer Extension and Replacement Fund No. 47335.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
