ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1503


An ordinance approving the disposition of a certain parcel of property by the Director of Public Property held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in the vicinity of the corner of 12th Avenue and Wedgewood (Tax Map 105-9, Parcel 51, including any adjoining abandoned street or alley) (Proposal No. 2003M-070G-10).


WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns a certain parcel of property, listed as Tax Map 105-9, Parcel 51; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government has determined that said parcel of property is no longer needed for governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, The Director of Public Property is authorized to sell said property subject to the approval to the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council declares the following parcel of land owned in fee by The Metropolitan Government to be surplus: Tax Map 105-5, Parcel 51, including any adjoining abandoned street or alley.

SECTION 2. That the Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to sell said property listed above in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus real property for the best and highest price, subject to any utility easements.

SECTION 3. That the proceeds from the sale of said parcel of property shall be credited to the General Fund pursuant to Metropolitan Code Section 2-1-104 (c).


SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
