ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1498
An ordinance approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government
of Nashville and Davidson County and Baker, Storey, McDonald Properties,
Inc., for the contribution of $13,750.00 for funding of an assessment and
evaluation of the feasibility of relocating Fire Hall No. 10.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is considering a potential relocation
of Fire Hall No. 10, located at 15530 Old Hickory Boulevard and Edmondson
Pike; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Tri-Data Corporation is currently under contract to the Metropolitan Government for the development of a master plan for the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Tri-Data Corporation has quoted a price of $13,750.00 to the Metropolitan Government to conduct a study of the feasibility study of relocating Fire Hall No. 10; and
WHEREAS, Baker, Storey, McDonald is willing to advance the cost of the feasibility study; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government and Baker, Storey, McDonald Properties have reached agreement on the terms and conditions of a contract whereby Baker, Storey, McDonald Properties will participate by contributing the sum of $13,750.00 to the feasibility study to be conducted by Tri-Data Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Baker, Storey, McDonald Properties, Inc., for contribution of $13,750.00 to a feasibility study of the relocation of Fire Hall No. 10, be, and the same is, hereby approved.
Section 2. That any amendment to the contract approved by this ordinance may be approved by resolution receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government requiring it.
