ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1474


An ordinance authorizing acceptance of a donated easement on private property for purposes of constructing a greenway bridge and a connector trail for the Shelby Bottoms / Cooper Creek Bridge (Proposal No. 2003M-056U-05).

WHEREAS, Mr. John Colley is the owner of certain property located in the First Civil District, Seventh Councilmanic District, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, The Director of Public Property Administration, or his designee, is hereby authorized to accept said property subject to the approval of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. That The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County hereby accepts the donation of property list in the easement attached as Exhibit A, and shown in the sketch attached as Exhibit B.

SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1474

Mr. President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2003-1474 by deleting the word “trial”,

wherein it appears in the caption of the bill, and substituting in lieu thereof the word

“trail”.
