An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a donation of property (Tax Map 96-1, Part of Parcel 8) for use as public right of way for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Proposal No. 2003M-053U-14).

WHEREAS, John Barker, owner of Parcel 8 on Tax Map 96-1, desires to donate .527 acres for use as a public right of way; and

WHEREAS, The Director of Public Works and the Director of Public Property have approved the acceptance of said property subject to final approval by the Metropolitan Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Property Administration, or his designee, is hereby authorized to accept title, in the form of a warranty deed (see attached “Exhibit A”), from John Barker to the aforementioned property (Tax Map 96-1, Part of Parcel 8, as described in Exhibit A) for the purpose of public right of way.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
