ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1390

An ordinance approving a lease agreement between the State of Tennessee and the Metropolitan Government for use of portions of the facilities located on the campus of the Tennessee Preparatory School (Proposal No. 2003M-041U-11).

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the lease agreement (the “Agreement”) attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A, the State of Tennessee (“State”) proposes to grant to the Metropolitan Government use of portions of its campus at the Tennessee Preparatory School located in Nashville, Tennessee, for the Metropolitan Government’s Magnet School Program; and

Whereas, approval of the Agreement will benefit the citizens of Davidson County.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the Director of Public Property is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement between the State of Tennessee and the Metropolitan Government.

Section 2: That any amendments, renewals or extension of the terms of the Agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
