ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1349

An ordinance approving an affiliation agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Fire Department, Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Volunteer State Community College, permitting students from Volunteer State Community College to participate in a clinical experience with EMS.

Be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the affiliation agreement attached hereto and hereby incorporated, by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Fire Department, Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Volunteer State Community College, permitting students enrolled in the Allied Health Education Program an opportunity for a clinical experience with EMS, for a term starting June 1, 2002 and ending May 31, 2003 and which may be extended for four (4) additional annual terms, such extensions may be approved by written agreement of the parties, be and the same is hereby approved.

Section 2. Any amendment to the affiliation agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least 21 affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
