ORDINANCE NO. BL2003-1311


An ordinance amending the Metropolitan Code of Laws to prohibit the collection of garbage during certain hours within nine hundred feet of a residential structure.


WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Code of Laws currently prohibits the collection of garbage between the hours of eleven p.m. and seven a.m. within three hundred feet of any residential structure that is not located within the CC and CF zoning districts; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the residents of the Metropolitan Government that the boundary be extended to prohibit garbage collection within nine hundred feet of such a residential structure.


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:


Section 1. That Section 10.20.300, Private collection permits, of the Metropolitan Code of Laws be and the same is hereby amended by deleting the phrase “three hundred feet”, wherein it appears in subsection E. and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “nine hundred feet”.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
