An ordinance approving a grant to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Police Department, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, Governor's Highway Safety Office, in an amount not to exceed $6,000.00 for the "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose" Project Grant.

Be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the grant agreement to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Police Department, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, Governor's Highway Safety Office, for the "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose" Project Grant, in an amount not to exceed $6,000.00, and for a term beginning on February 1, 2002 and extending through June 30, 2002, a copy of which is attached hereto and be made a part of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said Grant.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
