ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-936

An ordinance accepting a grant agreement between the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the provision of Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program Services.

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth has awarded a grant in the amount of four hundred twenty three thousand, six hundred forty five dollars ($423,645) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be used and maintained by the Juvenile Court of Davidson County for the provision of Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program Services; and

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and its citizens that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant in the amount of four hundred twenty three thousand, six hundred forty five dollars ($423,645) from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the provision of Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program Services, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County shall provide a cash match of forty seven thousand seventy-two dollars ($47,072).

Section 3. That any amendments to this grant shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.

Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
