Whereas, the Metropolitan Juvenile Court is in need of space for juvenile court probation and related purposes; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Juvenile Court have negotiated a lease agreement with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency for space at 302 Foster Street, Nashville, TN 37207 in the Sam Levy Homes Housing Development, a copy of which is attached hereto; and

Whereas, the lease is for a period of one year commencing October 1, 2002 and ending September 30, 2003 with an option to renew for one additional one year at no cost to the Metropolitan Government; and

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said lease agreement.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Juvenile Court, and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency for space for juvenile court probation and other related purposes, for a term of one year beginning October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003 at no cost to the Metropolitan Government, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2: That any amendments to this lease agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
