ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1281
An ordinance approving the disposition of a certain parcel of property by the Director of Public Property held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (7100 Whites Creek Pike, Joelton, TN 37080, Map 22, Parcel 91) (Proposal No. 2002M-127G-01).
Whereas, The Metropolitan Government owns a certain parcel of property totaling
1.85 acre, more or less, for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Board of
Public Education; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Board of Public Education has determined that the
parcel of property is no longer needed for school purposes; and
Whereas, the Director of Public Property has determined that the fair market value of the property is two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00); and
Whereas, the Director of Public Property is authorized to transfer said property subject to the approval by the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares the parcel of land owned in fee by the Metropolitan Government, being known as 7100 Whites Creek Pike, Joelton, Tennessee, Map 22, Parcel 91, to be surplus for school purposes.
Section 2. The Director
of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to transfer said property
listed above to another department in accordance with the Standard Rules and
Regulations for the disposition of surplus real property, upon $200,000.00 being
credited to unappropriated school fund of the Metropolitan Government.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the
welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring
it.
