WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government owns one certain irregularly shaped parcel(s) of property, being approximately 35 feet by 150 feet; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government has determined that a certain parcel of property is no longer needed for governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property is authorized to sell said property to the adjacent property owner subject to the approval to the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council declares the following parcel of land owned in fee by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to sell said property listed above to an adjoining property owner in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus real property for the best and highest price.

SECTION 3. The proceeds from the sale of said parcel(s) of property shall be credited to the General Fund pursuant to Metropolitan Code Section 2-1-104 ( c ).

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1280

Mr. President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2002-1280 by deleting the phrase “Section 2-

1-104 (c)”, wherein it appears in Section 3 of the Ordinance, and substituting in lieu

thereof the phrase “Section 2.24.250 C.”.
