ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1246

An ordinance amending the Metropolitan Code of Laws to prohibit the enforcement of parking meters on Saturdays.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:


Section 1. That Section 12.44.010 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws be and the same is hereby amended by amending subsection A. by including the phrase “Saturday and” after the word “except” and before the word “Sundays”.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1


TO


ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1246

Mr. President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2002-1246 as follows:

By deleting Section 2 in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new Section 2:

“That this Ordinance shall remain in effect from its effective date until March 31, 2004, at which time it will expire and cease to be in effect.”

By adding the following new Section 3:

“That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.”
