Whereas, Section 12.10 of the Metropolitan Charter provides that newly created positions within the Metropolitan Government shall be approved by ordinance; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan County Mayor, the Director of General Services, the Director of Public Works, and the Metropolitan Civil Service Commission deem it necessary to create the positions of Garage Manager; Garage Supervisor 1; Garage Supervisor 2; Manager of Fleet Operations; and Public Works Associate Director

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby created the following positions:

The above positions will be in the classified service of the Metropolitan Government.

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
