ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1199
An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government to participate with The Jones Company, for the construction of Bridgeton Park, Phase 1, Project No. 02-SL-88, a public sewer service in Williamson County, and to execute the necessary documents.
WHEREAS, The Jones Company has expressed a desire to provide public sewer service
to an area of Williamson County known as Bridgeton Park, Phase 1, Project No.
02-SL-88; and
WHEREAS, Metro has funded and built the Owl Creek Trunk Sewer Project No. 97-SG-84
anticipating participation from developers at $2,000 per connection towards
the cost of the Owl Creek Project; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to benefit both parties and the general community, and
The Jones Company agrees to pay an amount not to exceed $102,000.00; and
WHEREAS, this work is identified in Metro’s Capital Improvement Budget
as CIB No. 01SG0002; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT
OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.
SECTION 1. That
the Director of the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, acting for the
Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to execute a participation agreement,
Exhibit 1, with The Jones Company, to provide public sewer services in the Bridgeton
Park, Phase 1 in Williamson County.
SECTION 2.
That the $102,000.00 received as a contribution-in-aid of construction will
be deposited in Water and Sewer Extension and Replacement Fund No. 47335.
SECTION 3. That any future amendments tot his participation agreement may be don by resolution.
SECTION 4. This
ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan
Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
