ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1198

An ordinance approving the disposition of certain parcels of property by the Director of Public Property held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (800 Fatherland Street, 4304 Old Hickory Boulevard and 711 Stockell Street) (Proposal Nos. 2002M-093U and 2002M-094G-14).


WHEREAS, Metropolitan Government owns certain parcel(s) of property; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government has determined that certain parcel(s) of property is/are no longer needed for governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property is authorized to sell said property subject to the approval to the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares the following parcel(s) of land owned in fee by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to sell said property listed above in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus real property for the best and highest price.

SECTION 3. The proceeds form the sale of said parcel(s) of property:

shall be credited to the General Fund pursuant to Metropolitan Code Section 2-1-104 (c).

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
