Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by The Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the attached contract between the State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, Beautification and Environment, for the Urban and Community Forestry Grant Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed four thousand four hundred dollars ($4,400) is hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute same.

Section 2. That any amendments to this grant shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
