ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1029

An ordinance accepting a grant from the City Parks Forum, American Planning Association to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation for a Master Plan for Bell's Bend Park.

Whereas, the City Parks Forum, American Planning Association has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed thirty five thousand dollars ($35,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation for a Master Plan for Bell's Bend Park; and

Whereas, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency in an amount not to exceed thirty five thousand dollars ($35,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation for a Master Plan for Bell's Bend Park, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) be provided for the purpose of providing the Metropolitan Government's in-kind matching share for the program

Section 3. That any amendments to this grant may be approved by a resolution of the Metropolitan Council that receives at least twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

ORDINANCE NO. BL2002-1029

Mr. President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2002-1029 by deleting the phrase "between the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency" wherein it appears in Section 1 thereof, and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase "between the American Planning Association".
