An ordinance approving a grant to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, in an amount not to exceed $196,021.00 for the 2001-2002 Litter Grant Program.

Be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the grant to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, for the 2001-2002 Litter Grant Program, in an amount not to exceed $196,021.00, and for a term beginning on July 1, 2001 and extending through June 30, 2002, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said Contract.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
