ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-929

An ordinance abandoning a sewer line and easement on Map 106-0, Parcel 12, Project No. 01-SL-143, Margaret Allen School Sewer Line and Easement Abandonment (Proposal No. 2001M-108U-14).

WHEREAS, Metro Gov't S Margaret Allen is the owner of real property encumbered by a sewer line and sewer easement; and,

WHEREAS, the remaining sewer line and accompanying easement will adequately serve the lot upon the completion of a manhole; and,

WHEREAS, approximately 55.0 feet of sewer line and accompanying 20' easement at the end of the sewer line (Project No. 68-S-18D) is no longer needed by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, more particularly described on the plans for Project No. 01-SL-143, Margaret Allen School Sewer Line and Easement Abandonment, on record in the office of the Director of Water and Sewerage Services, said plans are made a part hereof as though copied herein; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission of Nashville and Davidson County has already approved the abandonment of said easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the sewer line and the sewer easement shown on Map 106-0, Parcel 12, and shown on Project No. 01-SL-143, is declared abandoned, and the below signed are hereby authorized to execute the appropriate instruments to carry out such abandonment.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
