An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a donation of certain property (Tax Map 85, part of Parcel 1 - Heartland Drive) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, for the use and benefit of the Department of Parks and Recreation (Proposal No. 2001M-126G-14).

WHEREAS, the Donelson Church of Christ, owner of Parcel 1 on Tax Map 85, desires to donate 37.942 acres of this 78.02 acre tract to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, for the benefit and use of the Department of Parks and Recreation; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Public Property, have approved the acceptance of said property subject to final approval by the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized to accept title, in the form of a warranty deed (see "Exhibit A"), from the Donelson Church of Christ to the aforementioned property (Tax Map 85, part of Parcel 1 - Heartland Drive) and shown on the map identified as "Exhibit B" and attached hereto and made part of this ordinance.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
